On Sunday 5th November 2023, ๐’๐€๐Œ๐ˆ๐“ ๐„๐ฏ๐ž๐ง๐ญ ๐†๐ซ๐จ๐ฎ๐ฉ shall be presenting the latest entry in the ๐•๐ˆ๐ ๐‚๐ฅ๐š๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ข๐œ๐š๐ฅ ๐œ๐จ๐ง๐œ๐ž๐ซ๐ญ ๐ฌ๐ž๐ซ๐ข๐ž๐ฌ, which will be taking place on the premises of Dubai Opera in the UAE. ๐‡๐ž๐ฅ๐ ๐ฎ๐ง๐๐ž๐ซ ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐ฉ๐š๐ญ๐ซ๐จ๐ง๐š๐ ๐ž ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐„๐ฆ๐›๐š๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ฒ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐€๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ญ๐ซ๐ข๐š ๐ข๐ง ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐”๐ง๐ข๐ญ๐ž๐ ๐€๐ซ๐š๐› ๐„๐ฆ๐ข๐ซ๐š๐ญ๐ž๐ฌ, the concert will feature the talents of two Austrian maestros โ€“ the harpist ๐„๐ฅ๐ข๐ฌ๐š๐›๐ž๐ญ๐ก ๐๐ฅ๐š๐ง๐ค, a prizewinner in multiple international competitions, recipient of the Young Celebrity Master award from โ€˜HarpMastersโ€™, and musical ambassador for the New Austrian Sound of Music, as well as pianist ๐Œ๐š๐ซ๐ญ๐ข๐ง ๐รถ๐›๐š๐ฎ๐ž๐ซ, the First Prize winner at the 2021 Piano Competition of Hildegard Maschmann Foundation and 2023 โ€˜Classic on Danubeโ€™ International Piano Competition, prizewinner at the 2018 International Summer Academy Competition, and recipient of the Musica Juventutis Prize. Plank shall be the first to open proceedings, starting with Alfred Zamaraโ€™s Mes premiรจres pensรฉes, a romance for the harp, which will be followed by Louis Spohrโ€™s Variations pour la harpe, sur lโ€™air โ€˜Je suis encore dans mon printempsโ€™. Next comes Gustav Mahlerโ€™s Adagietto for solo harp No. 5, in an arrangement by the soloist herself, before the first part is concluded with Elias Parish-Alvarsโ€™s โ€˜Scenes of my Youthโ€™, a Grande Fantaisie for the harp. ๐…๐จ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐จ๐ฐ๐ข๐ง๐  ๐ญ๐ก๐ž ๐ข๐ง๐ญ๐ž๐ซ๐ฏ๐š๐ฅ, Nรถbauer will take the stage to present Robert Schumannโ€™s Arabeske in C major, a work written by a young Schumann in 1839. Next comes Alexey Shor and Mikhail Pletnevโ€™s Piano Sonata, a stunning collaboration from two of the most exciting contemporary artists of our time, after which Nรถbauer will present Franz Schubertโ€™s famously technically demanding 1822 work, Fantasie in C major, also known as the Wanderer Fantasy. Finally, the Austrian pianist will close the concert with Claude Debussyโ€™s joyful 1904 composition, Lโ€˜Isle Joyeuse.
